I have bought a big bag of grit, and put out a cup of it, just like I do for oyster shell. I make a point of keeping it filled in winter, though in the summer, as long as they get free range time, I don't worry about it so much, as there is plenty of natural grit where I am.
Yes I have oyster shell and keep it out for them, need grit now...

Nope. She is perfect as she is. I would not want her frizzled. I would not change one magnificent feather on her.

If she was frizzled she would be jumping up on your shoulder and trying to live in your house.
