Welcome aboard. Sadly no. Jabberwocky had to go when my neighbor complained to the township about his crowing. The rest of my neighbors were quite sad about it but that's the law here.Hello! I'm new here, I was wondering if you still have your rooster? By Bob...
The Wyandotte?Took it last Wed. Jessica is front left and not broody. Sunday she very much was (and continuing)
The whole tribe dynamics will likely be turned upside down because of her. She seems like give ground to take ground will be the philosophy, along with pure stubbornness. She is at that. Phyllis was smart to intimidate her right away.
Yes. My Sansa bird.The Wyandotte?
BoPeeps is definitely a 'look, don't touch' hen...kind of like @BY Bob 's Aurora.More about BoPeeps. If she sees me across the yard, she comes running up to me, stares at me “go ahead daddy, try and pet me, I dare you!” And when I reach out to do so, WHAM! She bites my hand. (Not only when I reach into the nesting box), but out in the yard too.
Little Xzit only pecks on my leg, lightly.
Emily isn’t here to peck me on my bottom anymore (I kinda miss that) sometimes I just go back inside the house so I don’t get harassed! Rant over. Here’s the tax:

Oh, we need the snow....and Feb/early March is when we get the bulk of it anyway.....big part of why I'm shocked Jessica has gone broody. This is NOT a good time to hatch chicks. We're getting the southern edges of it.
I couldn't deide whether toThe Tribe is set Free
it was warmer this afternoon and I had to rig up the mount for the Porch Cam so I decided to see if the big girls wanted out. I opened the side door and Sydney was out like a shot. She made it all the way to the deck. Here she is looking at Aurora and Hattie on the porch. Those 2 never came out.

I threw Sydney some sunflower seeds over at the top of the pool. Well that was enough for Lilly. She came out and enjoyed some seeds.

Lilly and Sydney were not out long. So when I went in the big run to install the camera I left the door open. I figured Phyllis might want to explore. What I forgot to do was close side door to the big coop.
It wasn't Phyllis that went out, it was Betty.
And she had 1 thing on her mind.
I knew it as soon as she got out.
She was in front of me and there was no way I could get in front of her. The faster I went, the faster she went.
And she was headed for only 1 place
The side door to the big coop.
She wanted to meet those big chickens in person.
My quarantine was about to be over.
As I rounded the porch I saw that Lilly was standing in the doorway. Briefly I thought, "That will stop her. Lilly is not letting any strange chicken have a free pass".
Well nothing was stopping Betty. She walked right in.
Lilly was stunned.
BY Bob was stunned.
Fortunately I got there just in time to keep them from making contact. I was able to keep them separate with my arm, shoo Betty back out and close the door.
After being denied entry to the big coop Betty hung around for a while and then decided it was time to go back in the run. She has clear purpose when she decides to do something.
Here she is headed back.
After Betty returned to the run, Phyllis emerged. Phyllis even found some grass. Here are some pictures of her.
