I see her tail pumping a bit. Might she be egg bound Bob?
It would be so odd but I suppose it's possible. She is still behaving the same way this morning. I will be checking her for that and weighing her to see if she may be holding water weight. if she is not egg bound it's of to the vet if I can get her in.

The puffiness bothers me. :(

What could the black poo indicate? Apart from something they have eaten. Has she been doing this for a while?
Just started yesterday. She could be puffy just because it's cold out.

Just to be clear, that's an example.

I'm not suggesting Lily's liver is fractured.
Coccidiosis can also cause black poo. These are not really the symptoms of Coccidiosis though.

Something is Up with Lilly

Check out what she is doing. Part of the time she is a normal chicken and then she just stops and sits like this. She was free ranging like normal a minute before she sat down here.

I am concerned to say the least but she is not leaving her friends and going to roost like Hattie. I will give her tonight but I may need to act tomorrow.
I really hope she was just having a off day yesterday and there is nothing truly wrong with her. Being a older lady and it being winter, could she be beginning to develop a touch of arthritis?
