I suppose with a motion detector. I don't know if it's the noise alone, or the appearance of a human making a lot of noise that's worked in the past with exploring black bears.
I was very surprised that Aurora was so tolerant. I've seen her drag hens out of the nextbox by the comb before. I certainly thought that Phyllis was going to try her patience too far.
