That is so kind of you to say but I have to ask, what brought that out? Did something happen which I missed?
It was in response to a post. Maybe the one about your post with the videos? Did my response post?

I was saying it made me happy to see THEM so happy running around. I mentioned Betty being fully untegrated (I think). I mentioned the possibility of Aurora seeing a hawk, but you being on top of it. I mentioned their in and out behavior being indicative of the cold.

I think it was about me feeling genuine love in my heart for your birds. I suddenly became aware of my feelings and wanted to thank you for creating this space.

Edited to add: and I mentioned how good it was that Lilly came out, even though it was brief. Did this really not post? 🤣

I saw it.

OK, Bob. This is one of the best posts ever. I just absolutely love how excited and active they are when they are out. Their in and out behavior emphasizes how cold it must be there. And I have to say, it just makes my heart sing that sweet Betty is fully integrated into the flock at this point, in my opinion. I am also very, very happy that Lilly did come out for a bit, even if briefly. I do wonder if Hattie heard or saw a hawk, but I’m sure you’re on the on top of that. Thank you again, Bob, for creating a forum where we genuinely love and care for each other and each other‘s birds. ❤️
Here it is! I’m not crazy; I did post this.

I do not remember seeing that post. I really need to know what makes you think Aurora saw a hawk? I saw none. There was a crow across the street.

Oh, I don’t necessarily think she saw a hawk. And I meant Hattie. The fact that she wasn’t out long and paced along the porch instead of coming out while you were out with Betty got my spidey senses tingling.

This is the best post. I'm so glad you sent me back to it. I would have really missed something special.

I agree with you. Betty's integration is done and aside from my personal anxiety, it went really well. She has the perfect personality to join this lot. She is one determined hen.

As I said before, I saw no hawk. Hattie's behavior was more cold related I believe. There was no fear, just disgust with the wind. Hattie really does not like the wind inverting her feathers. She has always avoided the wind.

I love the way your mind works and gives me these real things to think about. Please don't ever stop sharing them.

The coop was in the lee of the wind today. Right there in front of the coop there was no wind. She made the trip out in the wind to subdue Sydney and then went right back. (I now think Sydney was teasing her about hiding from the wind so Hattie reminded her who is boss) I really think this was all wind related. Hattie just doesn't like her feathers ruffled.

As far as other birds go, today we saw 2 doves and a crow. That's it. ☹
