How is she doing?

She seems to be doing OK. She has regrown some feathers but not yet fully feathered. Her comb is shrivelled but I think that is just the molt. She is full of vim and vigor and the comb doesn't seem to hurt her. I will try and get some pictures tomorrow - one tip is already black.

The Phyllistines in Slo-Mo

I got some video yesterday of both Phyllis and Betty together in slow motion. They way their feathers move is very cool.

Thunder and lightning here. Small amount of rain. But wow is it cold out. The wind off the mountain snow, comes down and seems to freeze just me and my property.

I am pleased to hear that. Hopefully it is just the one point if any. I would hope that her molt will be over soon. Looks like 2 more nights of very cold weather headed our way.

I was kind of confused by what I was seeing there at first. They do very much move in the opposite way.

Still 70-90kmph winds here which is making life challenging. All the chickens are in hiding, no one is pleased by the weather

Larger rain now. The chickens all went back inside the coop (where it’s dry and warm) Arizona is inside with me. Time to get out the hairdryer. She was caught in the rain.

It's supposed to get down to -20C/-4F (-28C/-19F with wind chill) overnight tonight. I think I'll bring the chicks into the winter resort in the garage tonight.
