Awesome! Do you have a photo?
As promised, I built these 2 smaller coops before chicken math sunk in. Lol

I’ve been mentioning Tiny quite a bit with the soft shelled egg issues people are having here lately, so I thought I would post a couple current pics of her. She is a 3 year old Isbar, and has never laid “right” her eggs should be green, but they have been shell-less, very thinly shelled buff, or when I was trying to help her with even more calcium supplements pink. I had some big issues with temperature, humidity, and had a very rough first hatch in getting into chickens of 28 Isbar Eggs I hatched out three successfully. 😢 Tiny was an assisted hatch, and a runt. I didn’t think she would survive, especially when she finally started laying and then had so many issues with the soft shelled eggs. I love her floppy little hat comb!

To be absolutely clear, none of us are condoning, excusing, or engaging in this disgusting activity. Having Multiple males free ranging simply results in a small amount of violence in even a very large area. Chickens, for the most part, aren’t really loving domestic pets… they will very quickly revert to wild, and nature just isn’t pretty. The Rams also try to bash each others heads in here every spring 🙄 and they are herbivores!

Most of the squabbles here are brief, and I always intervene when they do decide to get too serious about something, as I am sure everyone else does. Supported by ponypoor now having to separate and confine a hormonal little cockerel… 18 Roosters/cockerels, and I will have one or two incidents of actual attempted fighting/violence each year. Usually they do a pretty good job of self regulating, but it is coming into spring like weather here, so it will probably be a challenging month or two.

I am willing to bet that if the 6 Jerks that are currently causing my issues had been raised within my flock things would be much easier and they would be better behaved.
I wouldn't be here if I thought for one minute people here supported fights.

I don't think I could deal with their squabbles so I only have my girls. :)

If they were all like Jaffar I would rethink

She's lovely :love

I thought I could be losing Agatha because of this soft shell plus her being an ex battery hen. This morning was bad she wouldn't come out at all. So I felt I had to intervene. I left her out with her bestie Tina, I cornered them off from princess and flexi and sat with them for an hour. Agatha then picked up a lot. She knows I'm soft with her and came for a fuss then started too eat more food before sunning herself with Tina.

I'm just hoping she's okay. I don't mind she can't lay eggs as long as no shell is hurting her.
