I have no intention of $$$ buying cartons, just to give out free eggs. That’s ridiculous! But I have ideas.
Bring the eggs in plastic bags with my newspaper trash. Then maybe these thoughtless people might wake up?
I am happy to ship you some. How many hundreds do you need?

Is it just me, or all nursery rhymes violent, rude or abusive?
(Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water. Jack fell down and broke his crown and Jill came tumbling after) or the other one that says (there was an old woman who lived in a shoe, had so many children she didn’t know what to do. She gave them some broth without any bread, she spanked them all soundly and sent them to bed) (Peter pumpkin eater locks up his wife in a pumpkin) and so many more violent ones! Thank you. I will. I am aware this is going to be extremely stressful on the girls, I hope with all my heart it doesn’t push anyone over the edge and will do as much as I possibly can to keep them healthy and happy. Daylight savings is coming, which will help; they will get an hour more of free range time and they days are just getting longer.

As far as being patient with the humans, I have been packing for weeks and nobody else around here has done anything. As you know I suffer from high blood pressure and tachycardia and am really trying to keep my own stress level down, as well. I am the only one in the family who works full time all year round every year, and I think it’s fair for me to expect some help.
It sucks, moving… the good aspect of you doing all the packing is you will know exactly what you have packed where, and have a chance to go through everything and get rid of anything that you don’t want to keep. When we sold the house I set up a free table on the boulevard and did all the packing myself too, for dividing us into three separate homes. My ex’s stuff (because he wasn’t following us to the farm!) my roommates stuff (I threw out his bed and bought him a new one!) we even had a book and DVD custody arrangement day… ok, you bought most of this series, and you liked this series more than we did. If you take these than we will take those… it was a little different, but it worked.

The more you move the better you get at it I suppose. That was also before I had chickens and a goat. We decided to sell in March and sold at the end of June, I packed from April through August, it was very, very organized… which is quite unlike me. It even ended up organized in the storage lockers. We had three at first, unfortunately on separate floors. But we hired movers for our roommates apartment and the initial move into our house as well, as that was consolidating households in different parts of the city to one. That involved two storage lockers and one residence. If you can hire professional movers do it, it makes it a lot less stressful, on the big day. Pack and label everything really clearly (construction paper and a sharpie and you can make it really easily colour coded) if you can start in one room preferably on the main floor and get it cleared out you can use it like a storage locker and just pack the stuff into there and away.

My ex’s sister took a different approach. Denial. When her parents bought a townhome
And were moving out of the rental they had been in for decades, she refused to acknowledge it was happening. A 40 year old woman with two cats. The movers were literally “we can’t move this! You’re going to have to pay extra for us to pack it for you…” it was a total mess.

Another fine opening… recently finished reading he Wayward Children series by Seanan McGuire. Highly recommend! There’s some Gender Identity and acceptance stories beautifully woven into a modern take on some Fairy tales in a Harry Potter/ peculiar children setting. The Jack and Jill ones were really good, set in a horror/dystopian world… really worth a read! All her work is great and there’s some modern Faerie stuff as well. It took me a little longer to get into the young adult series, the first book is a little meh… but from there it really gets much better.

I have an ink stamp that says ‘please return the carton’. I think that got the message across (a bit too well).
Me too, but I don’t use it… at my community recycling Center one of the ladies will get the cartons for us and drop them in our truck randomly. I still sometimes have to buy them because I only put one style in the store. I also have a stamp for my labels.
