Guess who is early here this year? By about a week and a half… or at least this One was… I haven’t seen any yet, but with the hunters I might be seeing them around. Can’t wait until they start really cleaning up some of the winter casualties. Unfortunately, Cleo is not earning her keep

Something has been digging into the pen under the coop (2"x3" wire on the bottom) at night. I was afraid it might be a rat or mink. At least the hens are locked up in the coop and safe...but it concerned me none-the less. Well, last night I saw what it was....
a couple of Flying Squirrels!!!! I had never seen them before - they are really cute...but I really don't want an infestation of them. (of course I didn't have my camera..but here is a pic from the web:

It's roughly the size of a chipmunk, but much larger eyes, and looks a bit pudgier due to the skin flaps.....

They really are the sweetest things!❤ They've developed a bit of SLM so I soaked legs and medicated this afternoon. Here they are drying out post-soak.

Rant::::: caution rant::::
I get phone calls all the time.
1. Student loans, I have none!
2. Pay off credit card dept. I don’t use credit cards!
3. Extra Medicare insurance. I am not on Medicare, and I don’t need any!
4. Amazon account is being charged for 1000$ , and I don’t have or want an Amazon account!
5. My cars extended warranty will expire soon. I don’t have such a thing as any extended warranty on my cars.
6. Need car insurance? No I already have a great rate on my cars, home, properties, Aircraft!
7. You have won a free trip to …… I never entered any contests to take me to….. !
Too many people want money from me, and I’m sick of it all!
