That is most unfortunate that they get sick annually.:sick

However, that seems much more pleasant than the average 'throw up':gig:gig

Wonder if there is anything good hiding around these logs?

Even with the emoji, it took me a while to catch on to what you meant!

I believe that Arizona does this on purpose. She waits until all the other chickens are home in the coop, then she runs to the other side of the yard to get as much play time as she can. She frustrates me! :he She will wait until the sun dips below the horizon then hops up onto the porch, and scream at me to let her inside. (Same hen that laid her egg in my hand this morning) .

Well at this point you have trained her to know that inside with you is where she belongs at night.
Not sure if you can get her to unlearn that. Maybe think of it as a ‘relocation’ - but that would mean locking her in somehow and not letting her back in the house until she had learned her new home. I am guessing that would be hard for you to do.

Is she relocated to the coop every night after dark? If not, it might help her retraining.

Thanks for chipping in, I appreciate it.

I'm sure it's nothing serious and she's due for a check-up soon anyway, so I'll ask Mark her vet about it.
I'd be very curious to know what he thinks is causing it! (And, hopefully, he will confirm that it is nothing to worry about:fl) Very intriguing puzzle.
