One is black, the other.....you had to ask....i think that reddish color, possibly called bay? which is which? I'd have to look it up, or wait for Hector to grow enough to settle into his adult color.
I don't know about Jersey giants, but astralorps (black) have very large, black eyes....they make my heart melt with their eyes!

@rural mouse here is my go at comb and feet for the black one. I have no clue on the comb it is very hard to see. If I had to guess I would say straight/single or whatever that kind is called. I don’t know about the feet either except I think they are pretty cool looking. All I can be sure of is this one does not like the camera and has a cute white fluffy butt!

Also straight comb. Feet are a tough call.

My Guess:
So, barring it is an exotic chick, my guess is either an olive egger (they can be sooo varied in coloring), or a 'blue' orpington. With pink feet, it should be a white skinned bird...so orpington...but 'blue, black/splash split, or lavender. Whatever the hatchery/breeder classifies it as. It will be darker than Hattie, though.

Edit to add: I don't think it is a true full on black orpington, as it has too much 'light' colored fluff!.
Which one are you guessing - the 'blue' one or the black one?
I will post details of the chipmunk tomorrow - they all suddenly crashed and went to sleep - too much excitement for them today!

Your roadrunners have brown (beige) in them. Blue/lavender don't have any brown nor red in them...just black and white genes/colors..... @rural mouse ....correct me if I am wrong.
Blue laced Red Wyandottes are an exception to that. Storm's bio roo is one of those: more accurately, he's a splash laced, but because of the way the BLRW breed out (see earlier re: blue, black, splash) is still called BLRW. Her bio hen is an olive egger (aka bitsa bred for olive colored eggs). The olive egger is barred (looks kinda like a zoot suit: black with white pinstripes). All the babies hatch out like sex-link: cockerels have headspot marking will be barred. Pullets have no spot. All are blue. Her brother is Red White And Blue. Blue barred with Red barred hackles and saddle feathers. Storm's crest tells us that her bio hen's parents are a Crested Legbar (like the Roadeunners) and a Cuckoo Marans (the barring and the dark overlay on blue eggs to get olive). Crossing Blue with anything except Blue, Black, Splash can get some color bleeding through. When and how is beyond my current understanding.

I am so glad you said that! I read your post about the bottom of the feet and I head off to examine feet and am sitting there scratching my head!
I do think they are cool looking feet though. Do chicks keep the same feet coloring when they are grown up, or can it change like feather color?

Wow, been absent for 3 days and a lot has happened. Royalchick has babies. They are so adorable. My grandmother got released from the hospital late Tuesday night. She flat out refused the week of in hospital rehab they wanted her to do. She now is staying with us and starting next week will do in home rehab 3 days a week. She is not happy about that, but it was the only way they would let her come home. She is having to use a walker and is not supposed to get up by herself. Well, me and mom are taking turns watching her around the clock as she tries to do it herself. I've already had to run and catch her once with her trying to sneak out of the bed. We are exhausted, and every day she keeps insisting she's going home in a few days. I'm letting that go in one ear and right out the other.
Glad she's feisty. Also glad you can take shifts

then either my last australorp wasn't truly one or Rusty (and Raven, other Roo who protected his flock from a dog with help from the cockerels and the humans hearing the ruckus) had "wrong" eyes. At a guess, the hen wasn't and both JG and BA have liquid black eyes.
