I don't have any ponies,so I am 'ponying up' some chicken photos.

One of my older girls. She is 1/2 Ameracauna or EE, 1/2 DC

My DC boy:love. It's a bit hard to tell in this picture, but his wing on the far side is down a bit. He is 'nonchalantly' trying to close in and circle me here! Fortunately I'm wise to him, ;)

The beginnings of a cuddle puddle!

Beautiful! Wow, DC boy is sooo sleek and shiny!

I call that the 'daily stampede' horses won't go far without each other, and if they find others they stop for a 'chat' :) I see a couple white cattle in the tall brush near the bottom of your photo :)

This morning my gals were full of 'pee and vinegar' hahaha my 22 yr old and the 20 yr old were bucking and rearing and running while I was trying to put hay out and not get mowed down by 'nutty ponies'. My Arabian and Thoroughbred left back in the barn were trying to tear the doors down to get and see what the commotion was! It is very cold and we have snow squalls so I know its the weather making them saucy. Lot of yelling on my end as the feet were flying around my head! Bet my Arab and T-bred are not so happy now to be out !!:celebrate
We had an old horse - Lady -(she passed in her late 30s). Every spring, despite her age, she would act like a young filly - kicking and bucking and running around...with one exception...due to her age, each time she kick up her feet, she would also... um...'exhaust heated air' (noisily, I might add!) to help her get 'lift'!:lau:lau:lau:lau

For anyone willing to narrow down the guesses on the chipmunk chick here is a video and a couple of shots. The pics are from yesterday - so much growth in 24 hours!

Oh she is so cute 🤗 we had a Chippy chick but being a barnyard mutts wont help u much in identifying h this wee ones breed I am afraid! I do think a hen tho, nice dainty legs. The boys have beefy legs I have found.
Oh, are they barnyard mutts? I’m behind and missed how/where she got them.

Okay, so this is what I got so far:

upturned eyeliner, legs look more pink than yellow, so probably a European breed as most of them have white skin versus most American breeds have yellow skin (though there are exceptions), single comb. I would love to say Welsummer, like @rural mouse , but I'm not convinced. that @RoyalChick would get a 'single' after what @BY Bob has gone through (though many others have mixed flocks with no issues). Unfortunately, if it were to have a crest, it won't show (like her crested legbars) until feathers start to come in....so I'm going out on a limb and guessing cream crested legbar. for ms. chipmunk chickie. They seem to have a lighter yellow leg, so I'm taking a chance here, and guessing as much based on RC as based on the chick.
Ooooh, maybe! I’ll find a pic of Flash as a chick.

Well, seems the hawks are back. I was at my house (I moved in with hubby when we got married, my house is rented) yesterday meeting with a realtor and doing some of the spring clean-up. Hubby let the kids out to free range while I was gone. ..and locked everyone up last night. I let them out this morning, and one group is short a girl...one of my reds.:hmm I go looking around and see a 'puff' of red feathers about 50' away from their pen. 😢 I come in and ask hubby if he heard any ruckus while they were out...'oh, yeah, sometime around 6pm there was.' Did you go out and check? 'No. they settled down after about 5 min."🤦‍♀️ Guess my idea of 'supervised free range' and his are slightly different. :( No offence meant to you guys out there...but 'aaarrrrgggggghh, husbands!' What ya gonna' do🤷‍♀️ I love him, but sometimes he needs a :smack
