I’m relaxing with my rooster buddy. Not much else to do right now. (This little guy has a feather picking problem lately) he’s asleep on me now.

Yes. My heated base for the bucket wasn't expensive at all and is the only thing that isn't a major pain. We will see how long it lasts, but it made it through the whole season which is better than one of the fancy waterers.

It's sunny here at work, but I checked my barn cams and it's a snowing like crazy.... Have half a mind to get mum to bring the horses in. But then she would need to corral chickens first.... They will survive I am sure.

If there's a door that opens to where they're at, they may have brought themselves in.

Not all Legbars are crested, I looked back at the Roadrunners and to my eye their crests started to emerge rather subtly at about 3 weeks. So have to wait a little while. I am sure I will love her whatever she looks like.
Working on a name for 3C. CeeCee is on my list. She seems quite a warrior chicken - when the others run she advances. She pecks first and asks questions later!

Ok… so I’m in a 1997 RV and we have a propane stove/oven. I still have to fix the stove top but I have won the battle for the oven! It took a couple hours of fiddling though because of the awkward space. I have ceded the under sink, oven, and fridge drawers and cabinets to the mice. They also now hold the furnace (though I spray foamed the heck out of the ducts into the RV from it) space under the bathtub, and bathroom lower cabinet. I have won back our sock drawers and the water heater area below them.

We were so lucky today we had sun and my girls had a great time plus nutrition via food and fruit.
We have been warned of a severe weather change. I've been ever so busy here and sadly I have no pictures to send.

Insane Weather

Today i was driving on I81 North when this warning popped up on my phone.

I got off the interstate because I know how crazy it can get and took back roads the rest of the way home. The video on this news report is what happened when the Squall hit.

Yep mother nature is having a bad hair week! -10c and still snowing at my place....

Oh but wait for it.... It's gonna be +16 (61F) on Thursday
