Love these little guys! 😍 😍 😍 What I think would satisfy them for awhile is not necessarily the size of the space but to change it up, like move the contents around and change the angles of approach and dismount, so their routine of moving within the space is different and they have new challenges. Thus: "Oh wow, this stick is steep now! Maybe I need to fly up there, it's more than I can jump....Look at the view! Hey what is that? A new perch? Okay, lets see....Oh.....Yeah! Now I can jump on Lulu from here! Weeeeeee!"
Good idea!

I went to town. Bought some fence, cement and brackets. Then installed the fence temporarily, until I can cement in the posts. (Let’s see what the little buggers do now!) I know that they can fly, but I’m hoping that they choose not to try that fence! :fl
Well my gals can fly up onto my 5' high horse fencing so if it's lower than that good luck!

Sadly they are not my favourite girls. :( They are Vorwerks, a German breed. I have found them very dominant [not a good fit for my tribe] & not particularly hardy. I won't ever get them again.
I don’t know. Maybe take them to lunch and explain the situation, and maybe they might be a little bit more friendly. If they are German, maybe Take them to a German restaurant. :idunno

It’s only four feet high. So I’m hoping that they lose interest in that part of the yard.:fl
Mine will jump onto something 4’ high but the won’t simply fly over that height if they can’t land. My electric fence is only 40” and they don’t try and fly over it, whereas they fly up 48” to roost.
So what you need is to fit a thin but visible wire a couple of inches above the fence so they know they can’t land on it.
I read of that trick somewhere on BYC but can’t for the life of me remember where.
