I will say this once, I'm disappointed in you. You knew this trip was coming so you had plenty of time to line up exporting eggs from a breeder of the Italian Leghorns. Incubators could have been found and ready. If I ever get a opportunity to go to France, you can bet I will do my best to have everything ready and in hand to import some Marans eggs. They were developed in France and some of the best looking Marans are found in France. They are not referred to as French Copper Marans for nothing.

*I am joking just a bit on the disappointed part*
I have researched extensively how to legally import the original Italian leghorn. To say even getting eggs is not easy is an understatement. If it were just a little simpler it would be done.

However, it is my retirement plan to reintroduce the original Italian leghorn to America. I will do this someday.

It looks lovely!
Where is the roost?
It’s a bit hard to see but there are two. I was a bit concerned that they might not be strong enough, but they should be ok. I can always reinforce the lower one if there’s too much give in it.
