They move so fast it is hard to get a non-blurry photo! :(

I'm beginning to think that my 3rd "white egg layer" is actually oone of my black chicks, nt a chipmunk, and that I was shorted a BCM, not a Welsummer. Not all the marans have feathers on their feet, so I didn't think twice at first. However, you will notice that in the first photo above, one black chick has a little yellow on the top of her head. She is the only one....I'm beginning to think she isn't a BCM, as no pics of BCM babies have that.....

And, a special Mugshot: Our adopted boy Elroy:

You had better hide your suspected clean leg BCM chicks. I know a member on here who would love to have one.

OMG. Clean-legged BCM less than a 24 hour drive away? @bgmathteach you had best lock up your chickens. You are within easy reach of me!

They have not pipped yet, but 2 out of the 4 Corona eggs are wiggling.
You are killing me!
But no, I will just be happy to see them when they emerge.
Right now I need to focus on my poor lame Bernadette and can’t be going off on road trips for new chicks.

I understand, and secretly I'm hoping they hatch out with feathered feet. You get Bernadette well. Later on there can always be more Corona babies, or even her grandchildren if I get the daughter of hers I'm hoping for.

Unless I can trick Baby into accepting a few chicks, I'm not going to keep any this time around. After 2 weeks and down to the home stretch Holly snapped completely out of her broodiness. She was the hen I was counting on to foster a few babies darn her. Baby has held strong this entire time sitting on nothing, I never gave her any eggs or special treatment hoping she'd snap out of it herself like Holly ended up doing. If I hatch out a feathered foot Corona baby, or one of the Butter and Creamy chicks hatch out yellow with feathered feet I'll try to see if Baby will accept them. If not, I'll wait until later on in the spring and let another broody have some corona eggs.
