There’s an absolutely gorgeous YouTube channel (also Instagram and TikTok) about Penny the talking cat. It’s still Caturday in the States so here’s a link to creativity and cuteness.

That's a handy little tent you've got for them RC!

Yes! I was really happy with it. It folds up really small for storage and the bottom is the real ground so they can scratch around.
I managed to get them all into the cat carrier without too much drama so it was a nice day out for them. They are so cute at this stage - they keep doing grown-up sort of things but are still really babies and need to nap after their crazy running around.
I am of course besotted.

I’m going to pay close attention to whose policies are what before voting this year. Australian politics has descended into an absolute shambles and I think there is a very good reason why so many independents have sprung up. The more I listen to Jacquie Lambie, the more she sounds like she actually gives a crap about the people she represents. She also doesn’t do the ‘spin and deflect’ thing; she says what she thinks (and quite often not through a filter either! )

I agree, she's become much better with experience and if I were in her electorate, I'd put her up quite high on my ballot.

Looking at their policies is the best way to go. That way you'll know for sure you did your best.

You probably already know all this but I'll mention it just in case because I've met lots of people who don't: the other great thing is that if your #1 choice doesn't get in, your #2 choice gets your full vote. So you can put someone unlikely to win in your #1 spot. Each #1 vote earns a little money for the party from the Electoral Commission (1 or 2 thousand I think) so each #1 vote makes a party a little stronger than before. They might even get their deposit back.

Anyway, definitely check if policies align to your values, and give your first preference to your favourite, even if they can't win.
