Raven and her chick are off the porch although from these photo's you can see they are clearly not ready to start the day. I guess when you only have 1 to look after you can be as lazy as you want. I will say if those in charge of this one's name do not come up with something soon I will be open to suggestions. Dad and grandma are who I left in charge....so far nothing.

I think I will have to submit this one to Picture of the Week.

She is a beauty 🤗

Yes amongst other things. She wasn't eating had a pasty butt.
I did the best I could and thought I was losing her.

It was written that preparation H could be a possibility of helping her but our chemist decision was too sell all the supplies too a tattoo shop. So manuka honey was all I could use as it was already in my home and that turned out to be her saviour because her prolapse has healed and no more dirty bottom :D

It was advised not too force feed but I went against that advice and fed her with my finger and in some cases with a syringe, like yogurt and water. Foodwise it was wet layers porridge, fruit veg and mushroom @speckledhen was a real help, I'm so very grateful for her advice and support
I have never heard of a tattoo shop suggesting hemorrhoid cream for any part of the healing process, it has no painkilling properties, and I just can’t wrap my head around that. I have heard of some places using a lidocaine gel prior to tattooing, but most here won’t for fear of contamination as these are meant to be used externally and a tattoo is millions of tiny puncture wounds filled with ink. Most here also won’t ink someone under a mind altering substance either, drug or alcohol. I would suggest avoiding that shop… I have a couple tattoos, want a fair amount more, and had one heavily inked family member, and a lot of heavily tattooed friends. From the age of about five when I started asking for one I was told it hurts, and IMO if you can’t deal with that, keeping it clean, and doing proper aftercare (which has never included prep H!) you shouldn’t be getting one. Now, I need to take more tax pictures… sigh I planned on testing and spray painting (not at the same time!) the propane stove for the free camper project… I’m sure the chickens will try to “help” with that 😂

Rocks-Anne, couldn’t get up on her perch last evening, she tried two times.
Always landing on the ground. So I had a wonderful house guest all night. We squawked for a while, and today, I will be adding another place to hop up on, in their coop.
I did that for old Penelope. I lift her down in the morning. Along with a few others who I don't trust hopping down on their own.

Last night Henny Penny was roosting in a nest box when I did evening check. But this morning she was up on the roost! I didn't notice in the middle of the night when I did a camera check if she was on the roost, but I bet she hopped up there after I checked them last evening.

As I said CBD is a cure all, and like most cure all’s… I am sort of leaning towards the whole snake oil with the hard to separate hype, placebo, or actual effectiveness in many alternative remedies 😉
I think there is a lot of crap out there. I have some salve a friend made that definitely helps my arthritic shoulders, but nowhere near a cure all. I think most of the commercial stuff out there is probably as weak a they can get away with.

I didn’t know about the nail gun or it would certainly have featured!
😂 I’m not torturing everyone here with all my house building updates, and camper renovations, and my play by play and weather whining (partially because the chicken taxes would be crazy, and I don’t want to bore everyone half to death here with building theories and hijack the thread)… just a few volunteers, probably kicking themselves for it by now… and I will be back to house building soon 😉 my goal is now getting the roof up fully by July 1st. I had joked that maybe I’d get it done before Bob got back. Nope. Hauling the modified trusses up to the attic by hand is a 2 person job… which is currently what is holding me up. I tried every which way, from a winch, to a ramp, modifying the ramp to a ladder like stand… nope, all I did was go from the ground to the attic a lot, heave on a rope, lift heavy 4x4’s over 20’ long and swear a lot. Oh and I now have a truss hung up cockeyed and stuck halfway up the ladder/ramp thing. I literally need one able bodied person for one day of solid working and I can get it all lifted… that’s all I need, I would love another person to help hold them up while I nail too, but I think I have a work around for that part.

So, yesterday we got the generator, compressor, and air hoses all set up and I shot a whole bunch of practice nails into some doubled up studs and the bottom plates of the interior walls. It’s heavy… and I’m not going to be running it at anywhere near the capacity, but I can get it over my head and it’s going to help with the crippling shoulder pain hand nailing everything was putting me in. (Talking thousands of nails here…) here’s my oops, new toy and some camper highlights. I’ve now sanded and primed the main area completely, wired it, added some insulation, built in a shelf for a 12v cooler. I also finally burnt my burn pile, took a photo of our local endangered? Orchid (they are all over the place on the north side of our road… but ok???) I finally had to break out the please return we recycle stamp and do a FB post because people are taking our cartons from recycling (that collects them for local egg producers) for fire starter 😡 and carton cost has risen to $0.70-$1 each here! Also DH spent about a week in and out of hospitals dealing with a bad infection on a burn and some other medical stuff. I’ll skip that picture…
