A stumble or tetter is probably not a problem. What sent my girls feral was Sif face planting then flapping round madly. The Vorwerks in particular went into crazy attack mode. Your Bernadette will want to be with everyone else & will do everything possible to achieve that end. Do keep an eye on those toes. The curling is indicative that she still has an ongoing problem. When I had Sif going through this the Vet said neurological ~ which is problematic as there's nothing to be done about that ~ or stress induced. In her case it was delayed stress from the move. I did supplement vitamins to cover all my bases. I am trying to keep abreast of this girl as I understand completely how worrying it is & the Vets can't really help.Yes - my worry is can she escape? She stumbles and teeters around. I will try again after this couple of days of rain moves on.
It can be. Margo had that when she had EYP, though I did not find out until a year later (at necropsy) she had it.What is that from? Is it a worry? Maggie sometimes has a dusky patch - it comes and then it goes.
Thanks, Alex.So sorry you are not feeling well. Wrong type of weather to be suffering from Covid!![]()
Lovely view.Early night for my feathered friends! My yard is a shambles, holes everywhere and I still have to go fill them up. “This is my view at the moment” View attachment 3094569
Me too. Bonus: they blend in with the dry dirt nicelyThey are all really beautiful - I love the feather markings.
Not good… Aurora needs to get her stuff together and get the girls out of sight for Red Tails… they are BBB very, very BBB. They scare me more than the eagles.A red tail could carry Phyllis off.
Think about that for a moment.
Those were my usual hawks before the Cooper's showed up. There is a lot of cover for them to use because of that. I built up things to protect them from red tails and Hattie is good at managing taking the tribe from cover to cover.
The Cooper's is a different thing. I was however distressed that they did not react appropriately when the red tail was around today. Let me say not everyone ignored it. Hattie was hidden in the apple trees. Aurora had the rest of them on the deck.![]()
Glad I’m not the only one who does this… just have to be careful in public not to point and “Whorrrrrel” at the BBBWake up, Aurora! I have an idea, Bob. Remember the video of me doing an alarm call for the girls? What if you use something like a whistle? Either some sort of a call that you make yourself or an actual whistle that you blow on when you see the Red Tail?
