I absolutely agree! In my experience here, the roosters really settle down in their 3rd year. They may be great watching over the hens year 1 & 2, but they get a 'maturity' and the hard edge of hormones has worn off ( just normally horny, not aggressively so) in the spring they turn 3. Much calmer, more confident, and much more gentle with the ladies.(leading me to believe the wind turned his feathers inside out).if I can get him to about 3, we may stand a chance with building of wisdom.

I mean really, you could have at least pulled up a chunk of greens and tossed them in the run/complex!
