Na - we were outside in the barn doing repairs.... Mum wasn't around...Was your mom witching *within* (seriously I wonder at autocorrect sometimes!) hearing when he said that? Or did he have enough sense of self preservation to keep himself from having to resort to going fishing for a month or two for his safety? I’d take an Atlantic Squall over some Angry women too!
Hmmm...the ones Adruinna is eating always look better than mine........Ok I need to post this ASAP and then finish my catchup and coffee! Hopefully Eve is still around (and yes I language checked this before posting to YouTube, so it should be ok!)
Ya Missy used to you to my cousin's when I was out west working, on my week off I would bet ng her home.I had all three of my kitties trained to sit, Whisper would shake a paw, they all knew “no” and “down” and much like chickens (they had a shoulder sitting habit) had mostly learned not to leap directly at the humans face. If you think a chicken with wings flying at your head is scary, try as 15lb cat with claw extended for landing! The other huge thing was they never went on the counters or the kitchen table when it had food on it. If we were playing D&D or something that was fair game, but not at dinner time! A year or so with my mother broke them of that good habit though. “WTH do you mean you’re feeding them on the counter?!?”
Maybe she just enjoys a good drinkNotice Betty’s eyes closed? Maybe when she tilts her head (& built- in shade canopy) back the sun is just too bright!

View attachment 3109222First visitor: Thing. Second was Jess, parking her pair in a nearby bush. Not sure if she was going for drive off or those are mine, but she tried to get in with them, then abruptly gathered up her pair and went back over to the olive trees. 3rd visitor was Twirp. She's shown the most interest in all the babes (hobbits included), loitering near most of the day, going on a bit of a ramble, then circling back to hang near them. They stayed out for close to an hour, then moved into the coop. The wind is blustery and cool while the temp is mid 60sF.View attachment 3109224
Leaving the outside area set up for now. More time there coming as temps supposed to hit upper 60s-low 70s all week.

Seems she likes damp soil as the hose was running above this, soaking the compost again..
Same with tomato plants - told leaves toxic to chickens. I turn my back for 20min and come back to all four tomato plants not a leaf on them! Just the tomatoes hahHahMy sisters miniature dachshund ate an entire chocolate Easter rabbit that was bigger than the dog itself and was fine
I also read somewhere that chickens shouldn’t eat avocados but a friend feed literally pounds of avocados to her chickens because a semi loaded with them wrecked near her house and they got the spill… and they were fine too.. so I don’t know.
You can totally have all of mine… please. Second day of pretty heavy rain, using all three meat tractors as temporary cover, fully tarped over and propped up for the chickens, I had to resort to bread to get them out from under the truck this morning so DH could go to work. “Help, our rain cover is leaving!”That's why we need rain, snow, hail, sleet....moisture any way we can get it!
