If I have mice in the yard, his yard is sure to have them also. So where are the poisoned mice coming from?And who is stupid enough to be using poison around chickens anyways?
What is poisonous to people isn't always poisonous to animals, birds, reptiles, fish, etc. On the other hand, the only ones I KNOW mine have had are from the store. Haven't seen any growing here.
I usually have them growing on the manure pile, in the warmer weather but I discourage the horses and chickens from eating stuff that I don't know of...

That is very sad. You must have a neighbor who is using poison.I received the dreaded phone call.Arizona was poisoned by eating a mouse. Her digestive system shut down due to rat poison contained in a mouse, found in her digestive tract. She didn’t stand a chance, against the quick acting poison.
I have tried before. Hard to tell with brown eggs.
