I did well with imaginary numbers. It was calculus that stopped me.
Hmmmm

Well is it like chicken math?? By any chance ? I am now seeing that counting chickens is harder than counting them before they hatch.... :lau

This picture right here demonstrates why I love black chickens. Yes you can see the blue and green but if you look real close you can also pick up the hints of purple. A black chicken is never a dull black like I previously thought, they are a living moving gemstone or rainbow. She only has one thing missing, grow some feathers on those legs girly.
Seriously it is so beautiful.
We will have to differ on the legs though. I completely love her black snakeskin boots - that is serious glamor together with the green, blue and purple.
As a bonus she is also very friendly. With all the fuss over Bernadette’s leg and Minnie’s crop I really haven’t spent the right kind of time with the Hooligans teaching them that I am the bringer of all things good.
I need a major charm offensive to get them to be a bit tamer. But Bella actually seems to like me. She hasn’t hopped in my lap yet but she always comes over and winds her way between my legs like a cat and pops her head up to my lap to say hello.

Well, as much as I love my 2 remaining cochin girls I have to say they are driving me crazy and soon something is going to have to give. These 2 have been constantly broody which really does not bother me, I can deal with broodiness. The killer is both of them have became for no reason the last 2 months egg eaters. Be it theirs when they are laying, or anyone else's eggs they come across before I collect them if they spot it they eat it. I cannot have that. They have layer feed available and calcium so there is no good reason for this. I'm terrified the rest of the flock will pick up on this behavior. Besides being pampered pets we all know I have chickens for eggs. I'm loosing at least 2 or 3 a day from them now and that is with me running out almost hourly looking for eggs. I cannot keep doing this. Option 1 that has been suggested to me is to cull them. I really do not want to do that, I'd rather rehome them if it comes to that. Then again I do not want to put this problem off on someone else either. I'm going to have to figure out something in the next month or so. The hooligans are quickly approaching laying age and that just means more eggs for them to potentially eat.
Have you tried ceramic eggs? They say after they peck the ceramic eggs a few times trying to break them out can dissuade them from the behavior. It worked for me. That's why I got them the first time. I had an unidentified random egg eater and after I placed the ceramic eggs the egg eating stopped.

You should read the summary @BY Bob made for this thread as it explains tax.
Basically, to keep the thread on topic (our chickens) every time we stray off topic we have to pay tax in the form of a picture of chickens. There are some nuances (some transgressions require pictures of more than one chicken!) but basically that is what tax is all about.
Here is Bob's primer for the thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...es-stories-of-our-flock.1286630/post-25896370
Now I have to pay SHRA tax. 🤦‍♂️
