They're extremely dangerous. Never approach a cassowary.

I was just reading that out of 150 attacks by cassowaries on humans only one death has occurred. Still, that's enough for me to never want to be anywhere near one.Have heard this! They look so quiet at the zoo but am told they are quite dangerous!
Looks like you need to get out your vacuum cleaner,Does anyone have any experience with these little fu**ers?
According to the insect identification app they are the larval form of the Asian multicolored lady beetle. Which looks like a ladybug/ladybird but is bigger.
They are apparently everywhere around the world now, and the chickens will not eat them!
What is that all about? These things are making my life in the chicken garden a bit miserable. They bite and make me itch and there are a lot of them!
Chickens just not interested!

What's the matter, Mum....am I growing up too quick for ya??
I had to look it up but they are classed as frugivores; their preference is fallen fruit. They will, however, eat small vertebrates, invertebrates and carrion.Yep the cassowarybut I think they are also herbivores.... @LozzyR is that correct?
But she's still my baby! She isn't grown up at all. Barely a teenager and definitely not competent in life on earth (my baby alien!).What's the matter, Mum....am I growing up too quick for ya??
I"m a big girl now, ya know!
No worries, @RoyalChick they are red, but they aren't RED. Remember, some pullets will start laying around 18 weeks of age....that isn't that far off (some breeds as early at 16 weeks!!!!)
Wow 150 peopleI was just reading that out of 150 attacks by cassowaries on humans only one death has occurred. Still, that's enough for me to never want to be anywhere near one.
What an awesome birdI had to look it up but they are classed as frugivores; their preference is fallen fruit. They will, however, eat small vertebrates, invertebrates and carrion.
