Chicken TV
First up we have CSI. This is a special Chicken Palace edition in which our intrepid crime scene investigators prove beyond doubt that Minnie is guilty in the brutal unprovoked attack on Bella.
Not only was there reliable eye witness testimony (from me), there was security cam footage, and most damning of all Minnie was found with incriminating DNA evidence in the form of one of Bella’s feathers stuck to her fluffy butt.

When questioned Minnie denied all knowledge, hid her face, and tried to dispose of the evidence.

Next we have HGTV’s much loved home makeover show Good Bones. In this episode the crew seek to create a cabana for Bella to keep her safe when she is with her friends.

…. but ruled that more shade was required. So the crew had to scramble to set up a patio umbrella.

All the hard work was rewarded when Bella took a little sip of water on her own. The first in about 10 days.
Filming was interrupted when the producer burst into tears of happiness seeing Bella drink.
Friends visited and encouraged Bella to try the cherries.

I think the next show will be House, in which our team of crack diagnosticians will focus on Bella’s weird leg, but there has been too much TV for one day so that will have to wait.

Oh I could just hug you (ok here goes a big huge bear hug )

And that cage set up is perfect! And so wonderful to see her upright!

There are a lot of creative bards on this thread Bob, RC and Rebecca are eggcellent story tellers; Alex is a wonder comedian; everyone is so knowledgeable about their feathered friends

Gosh it is hard to be a youthful rooster.

Horus is permitted roosting space on the same bar as Cheetah, and Whiskey is permitted grazing space near Cheetah (within 4 feet). Kren.....ummmm......acts more like a junior Hector, but as he isn't as big (yet), is buffetted/chased by all the older girls, including Hector's age mates. Whiskey is also the only one I haven't caught crowing, is the least all round vocal, but does much with non-verbal methods. So far, he's the most welcome of all the juniors

I have this urge still to find a small banty Roo that is older, been on kijiji looking but nothing.

Gave up on the chick idea but a Roo would be ok… a nice silkie maybe or Cochin or a little Polish - oh yes definitely a polish Roo

This is why the boys are down at the barn. The creek has not broke over the banks and none is running into their stalls. Yet these 2 stalls look like this, water is just seeping up from the ground. Louis's is by far the worst. Dirt's stall across the isle, is dry as a bone.

Whisky is the smartest of your youthful roosters for certain. Ned never crowd until his dad Stanley passed away and he was in charge. I did not hear Cappy crow the whole time I was there last time.

Gucci in the Grass

Glynda and Lady Featherington would not go very far into the grassy area today as Gucci would not come out of the run. So I gathered Gucci up and brought her to the far side of the grassy area.
