Good luck! Oh and not too tight…
I already tried it. No way was it lcomfortable for my sweet little lady Dakota. I let her out to play in the water park. She has her wing tightly tucked close to her body….. but I love it as her chickens feets are so muddy now! (Case in point, let a chicken be a chicken) happiness can be found even in mud!

Well, initially I would have though Glynda or Phyllis, as they are both curious and good flyers. But then, I realized you said 'flimsy fence'.. If someone flew over it, you wouldn't be saying 'flimsy', you would be saying 'short'. So, given this, I am going to go with either Hattie or LAdy Featherington. I don't think Eowyen would breach the fence, nor Betty (though I may be surprised...but if she did, she would have flown over) Also, Sydney is a good flier as well (witness: her taking Ned & Lucky into the tree!) I don't think it is Gucci, as she is just starting to see, and needs time to get her confidence up.
Aurora I don't think would bother breaching into the littles, they are, at this point, beneath her/ not her worry as head hen That may change when they mingle, though.

Hmmm, I just read your list again, and Hattie was not on it. (?maybe she is subdued due to molting?) so, i guess by process of elimination, that leaves Lady featherington? She is a bold one...playing 'one foot out/one foot in' with you...so Lady it is!!
Never ever underestimate the Lady Featherington! I didn’t need to look at the spoiler! Gezz you peeps :th

Well reasoned. 👍 Hattie was excluded as she is molting and has interest in nothing.

Security Breach

We had a security incident last night. I had to implement my IRT, Incident Response Team. Someone breached the fence in the grassy area where the Rascals are roaming. Before opening the spoiler below I want you to post your guess as to who breached my flimsy barrier.

Here is the list of possibilities.
  • Glynda
  • Lady Featherington
  • Gucci
  • Aurora
  • Phyllis
  • Sydney
  • Betty
  • Éowyn
And no reading ahead to see everyone commenting on it!

Lady Featherington breached the walls the times last night. The first time she flew over, Aurora was about. She basically flew straight up and straight down like a little helicopter. This video covers that time.

As you can see, Aurora was completely unconcerned. Betty even came out from under the big coop and I thought for certain there would be an issue.

No response there either.

The second time she tried to land in my lap. She hit my legs but was just a bit short and my legs got all scratched up as she struggled to fly her way the rest of the way up.

The third time she just flew to the top of the wire and tried to roost. Here she is roosted on chicken wire.

My best bet is either Glynda or Phyllis. ;) and I was wrong! 🤣 LF would have been my 3rd choice but I am still surprised it wasn't Glynda.

Of course I had to bring Jaffar (Best rooster in the world) inside. I had some leftover steak 🥩 he gobbled it right down. He’s such a good rooster! He’s been watching over little Dakota too.! Sometimes even a roo like him needs a bachelors time out. This time it’s a steak dinner! I love my sweet rooster Jaffar! He really is a feathered miracle! :love:love:love:love:love:love:love:love:love

I would have bet a lot of money on it being Glynda or Phyllis. They are my best fliers. Glynda has her nose in everything.

You know @BY Bob , based on the guesses, seems both Phyllis and Glynda have a reputation...lots suspected them. Poor Glynda, she has a rep. that she hasn't (YET;)) earned!!:gig
So true. Glynda has yet to cause any trouble at all. She been very well behaved.

That Lady Featherington has been bad though. She is always pushing the limits. She just looks like a goody 2 shoes.
