I like @MaryJanet’s approach. I believe she names her hens after women who were important to her in her family. I am sure she will correct me if I am wrong.
I look to those name first (hence I have Minnie) but they don’t always fit somehow.

No. She roosts in the main coop with everyone. She just spends time laying in there growing feathers. 🪶 🪶 🪶

She is a lot less active when she molts.

It is a wonderful way to remember others. I love that she does that.
