The only green spot in my yard is over the septic system. I seriously could use a strong tropical storm to swing this way.
I was wondering about the septic system. It is completely crispy over my field. There is one weird patch of green that almost looks like an underground stream as it heads downhill to where I know there is a pond but that is the other direction from the septic. Odd.

There is a freshly clean and filled waterer in their coop. Will they use it, no, not even Chiquita now that they have decided to come out into the wild. Here is Hoppy getting her first taste of wild water which she very much approves of.

Look at that crop, like every other silkie she's a pig.
Soooo cute! And a fuzzy fluffy butt ❤️

I have a question and I am putting it here because a lot of savvy chickeneers come here.
I have two lavender orpingtons, I think. I mean, that is what I ordered and what I paid for (they weren’t cheap).
I assumed they would look like my buff orpingtons except for color, but they don’t.
Here are two pics of my buffs:

And now three pics of the lavenders:

What do you think?
Those are NOT lavender Orpingtons.

This is a Lavender Orpington.

They look just like a Buff Orpington just lavender colored.
