Integration Update #6

Betty and Glynda decided that with fence between them, they could groom together. in a minute or two, Lady Featherington joined in with them. So peaceful

Yup. It is concerning how well this is going.

I really thought Aurora would be like my Lilly and torture the Rascals. It is not happening. Aurora has been very kind to them.

She knows they are no threat to her position. In fact they only expand her power!

Maybe Aurora still considers them to be "chicks." She has been kind to chicks in her Aunty Aurora role (if I remember correctly).

Becoming top hen has been good for her. She has mellowed quite a bit. The mean steak is still in her just not at all like it used to be.

Yup. I'm getting ready to raise the drop door and let the run be wide open. They have all split up again. The older ladies are under the magnolia tree and the Rascals in the big run alone.

There are going to be several. First here is something that may help smooth out Integration. Someone at FBA has gone broody. It is not Hattie

I would normally guess Sydney....BUT since you said it may help smooth out the integration...then it has to be Phyllis, as she would definitely fight the youngsters to keep her spot...and Sydney is a bit calmer. Hoping that if I am right about it being Phyllis, that she is back up to her normal weight after her last broody spell....it can be quite taxing on their bodies!
