I'm glad it all came out. Hopefully it is a one time deal and she feels better now.Tina laid a broken shell egg today it looked like all the shell came out. So I've just given her calcium. Apart from the broken shell the egg was fine
That's good news! She looks great! She's back to fighting for food, she has no table manors at all.
She's perky and very inquisitive as she once was . I'm so relieved

Word to the wise: they fly...WELL, and will NOT be lap chickens. Lark and Indigo are their offspring and those traits breed true. They also mature on the early side of things. Mystery was the first to crow and pop comb/wattles, PITA and Blanche were early layers too.Omg really I hope I get a white one from them Ill keep a roo
My sentiments exactly. Which is why I’m now on the hunt for barnyard mixes.Personally, I don't really care about standards of perfection if it shortens the lifespan and turns them into laying machines.
I love the blue Some of my EE have blue in them.Word to the wise: they fly...WELL, and will NOT be lap chickens. Lark and Indigo are their offspring and those traits breed true. The splash markings crossed with ANYTHING else will throw the blue, or at least mostly, fyi.

I love it. Finally have my husky female successfully integrated with the chickens. She literally pays them no mind. This became easier once I removed her leash she integrated with our pack of pups. She'd rather play with Lobo than chase Cholo. Of course I used my unfavorite rooster as a test subject (don't tell Lety). I have made regular posts about this on @Shadrach thread for rescued battery hens.So when can we start expecting the livestock guardian cat boom to start? At least for the backyard herders! I can see this catching on. A big, fluffy, flock protecting feline to deter predators. Love this, and seeing all the chooks mingling well together.
