Hello My Old Friend

Today is the first day since she started molting that Hattie came up on the deck. I think she is feeling better. And look! Some tail feathers are growing!

No Worms
Just to give everyone an idea of how dry things were here. It has rained here for 3 straight days. I have not seen a single worm above ground. I have no idea where they are but after 3 days of rain there are usually worms all over the cement and in the pool. There is not one to be seen anywhere.

I love my sister. She claims she got some weird looks when she requested a chicken on the cake. I could not have picked out a better one myself.

Not here! My gals would run the other Roos off! But they are all happy with Pompei esp Marty haha

It’s so cute seein him tidbitting for the gals, he is learning. What they each like and tries to entice them over with treats he finds, it so sweet.

It seems remarkable you've got such a great rooster right off the bat. What a sweetie. I don't remember whether he was part of a flock with one or more senior roosters around? I know he was getting beaten up somehow, and he was skinny, that's all. Did he have a chance to observe and learn proper rooster etiquette before he came to you?
