I had to go to bifocals: corrective for distance, clear for reading as I have to use a hand held device (phone sized but heavier) to do everything at work.

I thought that when I've looked at pictures of Thing. I just wish Gucci would quit growing new ones. I trimmed her really well the last time. It's frustrating that I have to keep doing it.

I swear the feathers keep growing year round. Trimmed her in July, before moult started.

Yea the horses are big enough they will attack the coyotes, but Lulu is blind in the dark and if she gets running she could run into something.

I might put a line of electric about 1’ off the ground, they should keep them out I love electric fencing.

No new kitty pics, but stove is tempered and works wonderfully. View attachment 3254692Night temps down into the 30s (no freezing yet) is definitely a good thing for ending the wildfires. Also means the apples should be harvested/processed soon.

It's been 2 years in process: a year to save for it, then 6-8 months to build it, followed by the rest of installation snafus.
It's Christmas!!!!!!!

Me neither. I can see why @Ponypoor is up at night with those sounds. I'd be worried all the time.

They can be very noisy! During the day you do not ever hear them, or see them (rarely).

At night though is when the party starts!

I don’t worry about them and the chickies & horses, they normally go after deer and turkeys and rabbits, but they could spook the horses at night and Lulu could run into something.

Mr Pompei and his crowing could attract them to the barn so I prefer if he remained quiet

And the icing on the cake: to clean out the ashes, flip a release, remove a panel inside it, sweep everything into the drawer in the base and take out the drawer. I'm now mulling where to put the ashes so the chickens can bath in them....probably one or more of the tires along the deck...
