Thank you, I was not sure if I should copy that picture from another thread and post it here. It may be a new variety, but, it is a Butter colored feathered leg Maran, and myself and mom both want one that looks identical to that. I wonder what the boys look like in that variety, I will have to go ask.

They are now 18 weeks old.

Ohhhh...soon somebody will be laying eggs! I suspect the laying order will be: Glynda, Gucci, Lady F. My alternate guess is: Gucci, Glynda, Lady F

That said, Glynda's comb/wattle are still very pale and I can't even see Gucci's, so who knows.

Ummm @RebeccaBoyd , I don't think you will ever get that out of your BCM xBOs, you will forever have the black gene in there. (well, forever is an untruth, but it would take lots of generations and back-crossing to BOs)

THIS was the photo I wanted of Betty! And how did I now find it? Someone hearted a post and I clicked to see which one...it had me responding to THIS post. (thank you @ChicoryBlue !) I absolutely love this picture of her...and what a shot of her eyes, too.

@RebeccaBoyd I suspect that they would look somewhat similar to Wheaten Maran boys, no? Who has studied color genetics on chickens here? (My Christmas wish list will include THAT book!)
