Awww, so sweet when they care enough to send the very..... oops, I mean when they care enough to groom you! Ask @BY Bob if I remember correctly, Sylvie and Legertha used to hop up to the shoulders (and sometimes head? or was that just Mal?) and they would sometimes groom him too!! I think that is the ultimate sign of affection - grooming, and ultimate sign of comfort/content when they just hop up and rest peacefully!!:love:love:love:love
Maizie and Pippa have taken to loitering on the woodpile until I come out to close the coop. Hector is pacing near the coop (all the girls are NOT in and he wants to mate). I walk up to the woodpile and ask if they want a ride. Maizie comes right over to be picked up and carried to the coop, avoiding the chase. Pippa is still on the fence about that: sometimes a ride, sometimes run the gauntlet.

I'll give you a slight hint. They have been banded with this year's color of zip-tie (blue) AND been also banded with some lady known as ? @RoyalChick ? favorite chicken color, black, with zip ties. Just incase they come to peruse my chickens while I'm distracted at Holiday time. They will know which ones to 'swipe'. :lau:lau:lau

P.S. Just in case there is still any confusion: girls are banded on the left, and boys are banded on the right.

I love this idea. I also think she needs to accidentally on purpose pick up a boy as well.
You two are terrible enablers. Theoretically I am not supposed to keep roosters although I seriously doubt anyone would care.

I always welcome a long post from RC. Beautiful pictures too!
What a lovely thing to say!

I second on picking up a boy.
But you are as bad an enabler as @bgmathteach amd @RebeccaBoyd!!

I went to a festival last weekend, and you had to get a wrist band that said, "Drinking," if you wanted to buy beer, and you had to show proof of age.

I told them I'm 19 and got a "non drinking" wrist band. So they must have believed me, right??? (for the record, I'm 60.)

tax:
Stormy says, "Yeah, right, mom."

You said 19 here you would get a wrist band 😊

Best to say 16….

🤔 Hmmmm, I think there is something wrong with most of your chickens....

Many of them seem to have a leg attached to the BOTTOM of their feet😱😱

:lau:lau

Okay, sorry, I'm in rare form today. Little sleep last night, so I am in that slap-happy phase one sometimes gets in when overtired, but forced to be awake and alert.:smack
Ok happy now 😁?

I am still fighting this sinuses thing that's now in my chest. So I've had a very spicy soup and now drinking 1 quarter scotch to three quarters water and two teaspoon of honey. I've drank most of it and it's divine

Are you seeing double yet?
Are you seeing double yet?

So much joy!
Diana, who I must say is carbohydrate obsessed, got at the half stale hot dog bun before I could get my act together to film it.
She wolfs down huge chunks and nearly took my thumb as well.
She is now making happy contented sounds looking for any tiny crumbs.
There were a lot of left over buns which I threw in the freezer so they can have another one tomorrow.

I wouldn't be young again if you paid me. Life is totally not the same
You got that right! Though sometimes I wish my body would act and feel 29 again...

I almost told the wrist band person that I was 20 in base 30.

At one point, I was the same age as my chiropractor, if you counted his age in base 14.

Yeah, I'm a little weird. :lau

Goodness this little lady can pack it away. She just ate half a hot dog bun, then went off into the weeds and was gorging on leaves and seeds and is now back looking for more bun!
At least Maggie had a brief sunbathing nap after the bun!

And now we can all see where she put it!

Sometimes she eats so much I worry she will topple forward from the weight of it all!
