I know 38 is young for this but it is something that has needed to be done for several years now. Due to my family history it also does not shock me. My mom had to wait with the same problems until she was 40. My grandmother and everyone of her sisters had it done either right at 40 or a year or two before. I had a first cousin have it done at 31 due to cervical cancer and 2 more have 1 ovary removed due to cysts. I am tired of the no energy, constant pain and other issues. I have not felt human so to say in a good 5 years and have been told I have to wait because I was young. I am very angry that to even get to this point I had to have the IUD torture device before insurance would approve. When they placed it 2 years ago next month both cysts were there, but were only 1 and 3 cm. The IUD was "supposed" to keep them the same size or hopefully shrink them. That obviously did not happen. I already got a call back for the pre-surgery labs, guess who is slightly anemic, me. Does it surprise me, not in the least.

You should have had that put years ago, your chances of getting pregnant even if you wanted more wee ones would have been very low

OK don’t dwell anymore on it - it’s going to get done, and in a couple months you will start to feel better, and by Spring hopefully you will be all healed up and have a spring in your step
