Actually, I just heard a 'thing' on that. Colds/viruses (respiratory ones) actually are more effective at infecting in the cold because our nose cell linings are damaged by the cold (sorry, don't remember the temp that they said was the 'tipping point'), and so it is easier for them to gain a foothold into our systems.Still not over the cold/flu? I would have thought that no germs would survive in the cold you are experiencing.

again, I don't remember the temperature they said, but I do remember being shocked, as it wasn't nearly as cold as I thought it would be to have that effect!
