A little moan here...

My friend took me shopping too a place I love too go where there is spices galore and a lot of lovely yummiest. She is such a lovely person and has a full on busy life looking after her lovely children and running her little business which she has managed too keep going through the most difficult of times. Yet still she made time for this old lady I loathe to bother her but she insisted she wanted to treat me and help me too get what I needed...
Imagine her horror being sent a hundred pounds fine for parking her car near their door while we were shopping .

They must have a camera because they clocked her number plate so why hadn't they noticed we had entered they shopping area and spent good money there...
I'm hoping she will approach them because if they refuse to wave this robbery I intend too go to the papers and have already spoken too a reporter who is interested on the outcome of this imo is nothing less than an offence

How awful. She deserves a break. Hopefully they tear it up.

Investigating nest box, trying to sit on ceramic egg…

Could today be the day that Speedy, at 32 weeks old, finally lays her first egg??? Inquiring minds want to know.

She did it! Speedy laid an egg!


It wasn’t as dark as I expected, and no speckles. I know first eggs aren’t always a good indicator of color, hopefully they end up a little darker. But I love her even if they don’t.

Movie night with the rooster tonight! (No chick flicks this time) but you can bet that waddles will be rubbed!

Rosa was supposed to be a Speckled Sussex, but was mis-identified.

She is a very busy lady, but the one problem I have with her is that she is obsessed with new pin feathers coming in on bare bums!

Poor Isabella had her work cut out for her trying to keep ahead of Rosa's attention to her bare bum during this year's moult! Thankfully everyone is fully feathered now and just in the nick of time. We are in for a week of -40 weather!
