I am really not feeling well. My throat is so sore, I am still feverish, tired and darn tootin grumpy. And now I have a canker in my mouth, fever cankers we call them. Just. Really. Ticked. Off.
Oh ya and an ear ache.
As several others have said, it will take them a few days to get used to how you are moving, the cane, etc. Right now they don’t “recognize” you. But it will get better.I am officially disowning every chicken on the place besides Butter. Mom made me use a walking stick to get around to the backyard. Got me a chair and told me to sit and NOT move or she was locking me in my room. I had the bread treats, I called the chickens. None of them would come within 3 feet of me. NOT ONE OF THEM. Bubba looked at me and crowed, Twig danced around the back of my chair. Branch, I want to strangle him and turn him into soup. Mom tried to catch him and Rosie, he refused to be caught. I wanted to try to catch him but was dared to move, I think he may have let me walk up to him and pick him up. Butter finally after 20 minutes of calling came up to me and let me pick her up. She sat in my lap a few minutes then mom insisted I put her down. She was afraid if Butter tried to get down herself she would scratch my incisions through my clothes. I did get to do a head count and every chicken and chick are accounted for so that is good. It's gotten dark so I was sent inside and told to rest. Oh well, I got a hour of fresh air even if the chickens did not cooperate. I will not be able to go back out tomorrow, temperature is dropping and it is supposed to be raining again.
Enjoying the sun, I see. They announced two-hour delays for Selinsgrove, Greencastle and other areas but not where I am... Anyways, still no sun. In fact, it's really cloudy and it is 37 F.Thanks for not making me say it.
How about a photo of a chicken in the warm to warm your heart?

I watch him too sometimes.I want to do a plug for a show that I watch sometimes. “Self sufficient me”
YouTube. He’s Australian and very knowledgeable.
From olden days. the 'sleep tight' part was bed. 'frames' were wooden perimeters with rope running through instead of like present day slats to support the mattress. So, one would tighten the ropes periodically so that the bed was more comfortable, not so horribly saggy ( as the ropes would stretch over time)Good night sleep tight, don’t let the bed bugs bite
Were does that old saying come from I wonder??
Any of the following, imo:Which photos should I enter?
