I have found a long handled shovel ( with the D grip) makes a great 'chicken lifter' off their roosts (read : branches)that are high! Between that and my very sturdy 2 step step stool, I can reach about 9'+ up! (ask me how I know )🤷‍♀️:idunno
Yes. I am armed with both such tools. And if it were 9’ I think I could get them. But they are past my reach at over 10’.
And last night it was sweet Babs who led the flight into space. Eli looked like she might settle for the roost at 5’.

Friday fluffy, collected new

Beautiful Roo!! His colors are varied and resplendent, quite regal looking.
we got you back in time to see the Thirsty Thursday Theo series - he is very lovely (if a little bit of a handful!).
I have two very different roos : a tiny pretty brat, and an ordinary looking but very sweet huge cockerel 😁. I love them both most of the time, but keeping the two of them does make life interesting. Today huge Gaston stood his ground to fight for the first time against tiny Théo....for one minute before running away as fast as he could whimpering.

Just as well, my partner works today and I would prefer having him around when we'll have to patch the roosters up for the first real fight 🙄.
For sure I have more than 2 photos. Did you see all the pictures and video clips in thipost (and the response to Aurora that it has a link to)?

Thank you ! No, the photos did not charge when I read the post, and I could see the videos but not play them. I think I will have to catch up now that 4g network is back on, as I also missed bgmathteach's post on their breeds (which you mentioned to ponypoor).

Do you have a way to lock Babs and Elie in the coop for a while during the day without Bernie and Diana ? That way they would have time to look at the settings without having pressure from the big girls.
But we all know that forcing a chicken's mind on where to roost can sometimes work and sometimes create total chaos!

Happy fluffy butt Friday everyone. @BY Bob and everyone who is at work (or school) during day I hope you get time with your chooks during the weekend! Except @Ponypoor of course but one day off is not really a week end I guess anyway 😉.

Brune's butt- she needs to molt!

Good morning ManueB - as always love your sweet Piou-piou she is such a cutie.

And your Roos are lovely - I had a laugh over your description of Gaston running from Théo :) I sure hope it stays this way with your chickens. Don't need drama!
