For me it would take a dozen guaranteed to hatch out female show quality black silkie eggs. You get those, yes instantly.

I found another fancy breeder of rare chicken breeds while surfing the net last night. Just checking them out on the big monitor this morning! I like this Altsteirer hen - cold hardy - and pretty looking https://www.dcheritagepoultry.com/rare-chickens.html

Diana survived the night. Her crop was empty this morning so she isn't blocked. Her poops overnight were a bit watery with good urates.
She ate a good lot of corn for breakfast but she isn't at all interested in being active.
I am going to make her some egg with sardines and some put some pine straw where she is choosing to hunker down so it feels a bit more cozy for her.
There was some hilarity from the young-uns while I was giving Diana her corn treat. I think they were expecting me to come up to the rafters with breakfast in bed!

Ooooo and they have this weird looking one called a Malay! It states they were used for racing with their long legs. And they are hardy, prefer free range, they are tall getting the 3' and can become quite affectionate to their owners. Yep I want a couple of those!
Conservations Status: Critical - guess they are uncommon in that case...

And they have Polish, and a photo that looks just like Mr P!!! Hmmm Conservation Status: Watch. Guess also not common.

Oh They have Sultans! - never mind - sold out

Wow all these exotic looking chickens! Never seen such birds before! Rivals the most exotic of Parrots in colours.

They have Chantecler!! White and Buff!

I will need a bigger barn.... and I will be working forever now hahaha!

So glad she is eating - I was afraid to ask.

Well maybe she is just in need of some babying. Maybe she has arthritis? Penelope sometimes gets lame and has trouble jumping up to roost - can you give her some baby aspirin to see if she just needs some pain relief?

Don’t let the photo fool you, Peep is not taller then a foot, and his voice is higher pitched then a squeak toy.


Though, i think he has a bit to much confidence. He’s trying to mate the biggest chicken in the flock.
