Let's have counts excluding the name principle please.

I believe I have no chickens and if that is not allowed then I have one chicken.
And as in all good math problems I will show my workings:

I start with #5 (gifted and rescued chickens don't count) which excludes both Eli and Babs (who are definitely gifted in flying, but were also a very kind gift).

And then I apply #2 (the first hen of each breed doesn't count) and that excludes Bernie.

Therefore I am left with no chickens.

I had always aimed for a flock of 8-10, so I guess I need to get more than 3 chicks in the spring!

Nope. No chickens to be seen here!

Yes she is counting on that extra length through the people door the way she flew here. Flying to a roost would be 1) harder as the need good flying accuracy 2) a hard surface to land on, so more possibility of injury? Wrap it in a gym mat!

We went through 1/2 a quart of blueberries. It was too much fun.
