Hmmmm - well seems that I have opened the flood-gates of Chicken-Math!

Now everyone is getting in on the 'must get more chickens' theme

I am in the habit of checking in on the camera to make sure everyone gets in before the automatic door closes and one night I kept hearing this metallic tapping noise. I went outside to check and these three characters came running!

They had gotten locked out and were tapping on the door, so their servant would let them in!

Mine have been know to come to the back door of the human coop and knock on our door to let us know they were locked out of their coop by the auto door.

Let me see if I can find that story........

Not me though. I want a lavender orpington but the Borough says I can't have more than 4. Didn't I mention that roosters are prohibited?

Silkies- Branch and Chiquita
Cochins- Flurry and Gryffyn
Buff Orps-Butter, Siracha, Nellie and Wasabi
Queens-Berthie and Lassie
crosses- Squirrel, Raven, Blueberry, Twig, Goose, Karen
game hen-Momma Hen
Chicks- Kit, kat, Ducky plus momma's 4 new ones and 9 of the ones hatched in october.

ok earlier count was wrong, 38 total not 42. I even went out and did a head count just to make sure. No I do not have too many chickens.

I got 28 but I couldn’t remember if Squirrel is a boy or girl. Also, there are only two silkies, and one is a rooster. If there are just three roosters, Branch counts. So do we count the silkie hen Chiquita by herself or as one of two? Holy Dinah, math is hard!
