It’s a good night. No coop drama. Jaffar is watching the TV
And Dakota is laying down on a soft pillow sound asleep 😴
Jaffar is also asleep now too! That’s okay though, because he’s been up since 05:15 today doing his cocorico!

I think she could fit (just) but I would be very worried about her coming down. You just know she won't use a ladder to come down and she is really too hefty to be canon-balling down from that height.
I saw signs this evening that Babs might have been willing to roost on a roost - but with Eli up in the sky calling her to come to bed, and Bernie chasing her from roost to roost, she of course flew up.
Sigh.
Very tough. Your children giving you, a very resourceful chicken servant, a very hard problem. Perhaps this can be your master thesis on your chicken serving study.

Just got back from my endocrinologist appointment. We discussed my level fluctuating more since my surgery. I came home with a new toy that I am eligible for. A Dexcom G6 continuous glucose meter. When I was previously on the insulin pump I had a medtronic one that linked to the pump. It had issues and I was not happy with it or where it had to be placed. This one is smaller, can work without a insulin pump and I like the options better for placement. I go back February 14 for the readings to be downloaded. I will also have the results of the lab work she ordered. At this next appointment she will be ordering a new insulin pump. I think it is called a omnipod, which will work with this Dexcom system.
The Dexcom system can be life changing. You are so lucky to get one. I'm so excited for you.

It actually works really well. It telescopes down small enough to store conveniently and it adds almost 2’ of reach.
The egg fits nicely in the hand though you do have to focus not to tip it off.
Before getting this I used an empty cat food can nailed to a wood broom handle.
That worked just fine but was awkward to store.
And I bet visitors asked questions about the can on the stick. 😆

Sorry to randomly interject on this thread, but I just wanted to say congrats on getting an omnipod!! I’m a student care aide for a little girl with T1D, and the technology really is a lifesaver for her. I had never even heard of it before this year, but it didn’t take me long to get the hang of it at all. I hope it all goes well for you
