I caught a mouse in the Chicken Palace today. I tossed the body to the chickens and they weren’t interested Then I turned around and it was gone.
Interesting!

I try to catch them live, and let them loose in the center of the yard. Just to see how far they get until they become dinner

Dash is indeed a very nice bay!! Oh yeah, Lenny has a lot of spark to him!! I thought so too, about Prince! Ohhh, he reminds me if Spirit in that movie! Oh, I miss watching that show!! Hopefully you will see your horses soon!!

When I was a teenager, bold as brass I called a Friesian breeder and asked if I could come see their horses. Somehow they said yes, and bless my moms heart she drove me and my best friend several hrs to go. They had two they had just imported and they let us RIDE them! Its a core memory and I will never forget the experience. They are an amazing breed, its like riding a very bouncy tank because of the lifted gait they do.

Those people are wonderful people AND great advertising too! Even if your parent's don't get one for you - maybe one day you will go to those breeders and buy one of their horses

Well, well. The Chicken Palace is a happening place!

Spoiler: Eli

Eli has been in and out of the nest boxes all week but mainly as Babs’s bodyguard. I guess she decided to try it out for herself. She created a deep bowl in the bedding and laid this little number. It has white spots and is 46.6g = 1.6oz.
Congratulations Eli!
She seems quite surprised by what she produced.
Babs also laid today.
Bernie can’t see what all the fuss is about and thinks it is all a waste of time.
I have forgotten how I collect eggs and where I store them - I think I have a basket somewhere!

She really was puzzled by what I was holding.
She has become much friendlier and is bolder than Babs. Neither are close to lap chickens (nor Bernie) but Eli gets closest because she is so curious and wants to investigate everything.

They were amazing back then Friesians were almost nonexistent in the US, that was mmm 30 some years ago lol if i want the Ferrari of horses I’ll have to manage it on my own now haha.

This is Truly's sire - True Colours. I am not sure where he is right now, or if he is still alive or not. I think he went to the Middle East - which I am not happy with
