Did you know that the Chantecler is a Canadian created bird? I tried to get some here but I couldn't get any - they were sold out where I am getting my chicks.

Splotch is an alpha hen who knows stuff. She may not have the beard and muffs that Aroura has, but she is a tough cookie. Even I stay out of her way! She has attacked Pastel before, and they are inseparable!

Sheesh! what on earth! My kiddos have seemed to figure it out finally. And Henny even snagged the coveted spot on top of the top nest box hahaha - she is the 2ic after all...

I guess Betty has decided that she doesn't need the drama!

Are you getting only pullets, or a cockerel too?

Just pullets - I already have a Roo (Mr P) so don't need another

The Dark Brahmas will also be pullets - my plan is to have a couple of my gals broody so they can raise the babies.... so hopefully I can get home and have a chat with them

She ate some treats. Pooped on my floor in the house. Ran to the chickens room and perched up on the perch bar. Obviously she wanted to stay inside the house tonight. Crazy chook!

Well now Alex - you know that she is the boss right? Whatever she wants is what she will get. It is the 'way of the chicken' after all!
