Thank you, the little ones seem fine. They still cry for her at night, i imagine it’s hard for them all of the sudden to not have a mom to tuck under at night though. They are in my room in a brooder and are doing well.I am so very sorry for your loss. I hope you get the necropsy results soon in case Jolene is also affected by the same thing. Are the little ones ok? Will you have to put them in a brooder now?
The last chick hatched out.So wonderful she is doing ok - that is a nice egg!
Don't forget to post more baby photos!
I agree. She is starting to look like a chicken and a bit less like an oversized song birdGlynda in this picture looks like she is filling out a bit more still sleek and refined but maturing beautifully. She really does glow.
LF my inspiration for the hatching eggs I have on pre-order is looking beautiful as always in all her spangled feathers.
Aurora looks beautiful of course but also a bit like me in the morning before coffee lol not ready to be up quite yet![]()
And you doubt her, how could youRebecca the Enabler....
So.... guess who is broody?
Guess who is sitting on 3 eggs??
Guess who is getting all the Roos?!
Rebecca gets the Roos that's who!

She has 3 eggs, 2 pink silkie eggs not sure if one is hers, and a large brown egg that I think is a Sophia egg. I marked them all for today and tomorrow will keep an eye out to see who lays what eggs so I can guess at who the 2 pink eggs are. And Sophia also...
I'm sorry Dixie has diedHi all, how is everyone?
Yesterday Dixie passed away with the babies under her wing with them chirping trying to get her to wake up. I sent her off for a Necropsy in UCONN because her sudden death alarms me. Jolene seems like her behavior and is sleeping in the house. All dirty, ruffled feathers, pale, not eating. Hope she pulls through.
Paragraphs definitely make it easier to read!I got my first guinea egg of the year yesterday! One of my second season layers AKA my adult/originals laid it. It's so tiny! Hopefully they get bigger!!View attachment 3431085
Oh, Willow has her egg color all straightened out. I will get a picture of that later.
Notice the use of paragraphs, just because clumps were bothering Bob![]()
