I am linking a pbs article that talks about Marek vaccine, a leaky vaccine, made the disease evolve to be more dangerous.By_Bob can answer your vaccine questions, I think there is some talk about an attenuated vaccine for Mareks causing mareks in chickens not vaccinated or exposed and challenged naturally by the virus.
None of mine are vaccinated for anything and sometimes I worry about this. But it is what it is, and as long as they don't get Rabies it's all good - apparently birds don't get rabies (first thing I researched when I got these beasties).
Thank you! That is an absolutely stunning pic of her!
Yay! Hope that means you are feeling a bit better.
Yes. That is the one article. Over generations that may be true though there is another study that refutes that.I am linking a pbs article that talks about Marek vaccine, a leaky vaccine, made the disease evolve to be more dangerous.

Yes correct. It is from 2015 and science, especially on this topic, is really evolving.Yes. That is the one article. Over generations that may be true though there is another study that refutes that.
Her name is Raven! She is 75 percent silkie and 25 percent polish. And I didn’t know that haha, she is getting a drink so that is a nice coincidence!Awww - she is pretty! What is her name?
Thursdays here we try and get pictures of chickens drinking and that looks like a perfect early start to Thirsty Thursday (it is already Thursday in Australia!).
She is a cross between my black silkie hen and my little golden polish/silkie cross, Angel. Her colors turned out to be a very pretty combination of the two!Love her colour! Like flames, what breed is she?
