Wow everyone is looking splendid!
Everytime I go out they swarm me like they never eat. I just took them some treat and collected about 60 eggs. Ive been to weak to collect lately. If I go inside they go inside if I go out they come out. lol like a train of chickens. :lau

Thank you, this is very helpful! Now I shall pay the chicken tax as well: my girl Raven View attachment 3432554
She is adorable ❤️ , and her name really fits her looks, I think! Love that little tuft on her head :)

Someone already asked her breed, so I will patiently await the answer on that one.

By_Bob can answer your vaccine questions, I think there is some talk about an attenuated vaccine for Mareks causing mareks in chickens not vaccinated or exposed and challenged naturally by the virus.

None of mine are vaccinated for anything and sometimes I worry about this. But it is what it is, and as long as they don't get Rabies it's all good - apparently birds don't get rabies (first thing I researched when I got these beasties).
I am linking a pbs article that talks about Marek vaccine, a leaky vaccine, made the disease evolve to be more dangerous.

Awww - she is pretty! What is her name?
Thursdays here we try and get pictures of chickens drinking and that looks like a perfect early start to Thirsty Thursday (it is already Thursday in Australia!).
Her name is Raven! She is 75 percent silkie and 25 percent polish. And I didn’t know that haha, she is getting a drink so that is a nice coincidence!

Love her colour! Like flames, what breed is she?
She is a cross between my black silkie hen and my little golden polish/silkie cross, Angel. Her colors turned out to be a very pretty combination of the two!

Apologies for the quality of the photos, it was also a very blustery day, Angel’s feathers were all flying around haha
