Aww me too. I've got a 32 bit netbook that has a windows xp sticker on it. It runs debian now. I wanted something light to haul around with me, so I got it for $20! I think it must be from 2008.

Just recently, at work, I was given two surface 3's. One's got a busted screen, but that's it. The only issue is that they're old! Just from 2015! I put arch on them and they work fine. The one without a busted screen even works with the stylus, so I've been using it for notes during classes. I gave the other one to my mom, before she dropped $600 on some other laptop.

My main workhorse laptop is a thinkpad yoga from 2012. It also works with a stylus. I've got arch on it too, and it's excellent! I can even play games on it, so I get to goof off at work (what I'm doing now).

For my flock... One of the leghorns just flew over the 48" electric poultry netting I got to keep them contained. I was standing out there with them while I let them out of the run, just to see how it'd work out when they're fully grown. She's 3 weeks old. What's her deal? I can't even tell which one it was, because they all look identical. Once she was over, she desperately wanted back over and couldn't figure it out. I had to go herd her back in. What am I going to do with these gals?
Oh man, you're making me want to get my hands on even more junk electronics.
One of my uncles sends a bunch of old electronics sometimes. That's how I got my iPad.
How well does that laptop work with Debian? What desktop environment do you use on it?
I haven't installed Debian on a laptop in a while.

My hens endorsed the external nest box that I made them last weekend!!

I am not an experienced builder as will be obvious if you look closely at my project and I used all scrap wood that I had to dig out from under the snow, but I feel absolutely thrilled that they thought it was a good place to lay!! :love

I have been checking on the camera during my coffee breaks at work and I saw them investigate the nests, and stand immobile in front of them for long periods of time, but this is the first time they laid in them.

Well done! As an inexperienced builder you cut a circle?!
I am so impressed - I only do straight lines.
I love that photo - composition and unexpected perspective. Definitely submit that to POW.

Haha! I got it into my head that it would be more cozy as a circle and then I couldn't find our jigsaw, but I was too stubborn to give up, so improvised with what I had on hand.

Thanks! I just snapped the photo quickly and it was pure luck that one of the ladies stopped by to see what I was up to.

Not sure if I need to pay tax for this conversation, but just in case here is Isabella. She still hasn't started laying again since she stopped in September! She has never been a high achiever in the laying department, but this is her longest break ever.

Oh so adorable. Ok, so Sophia is not a silkie right? That litle one in the front with black legs, its for sure a silkie mix and I am assuming Marty's baby. I cannot begin to tell you how much I needed to see these 3 little peeps. I'm dealing with a emergency situation that is going to have me camped out in the building tonight waiting. I've lost the 2 biggest buff orp girls from Rural king 2 nights in a Row. It ends tonight one way or another and this time I will be waiting as I know what time whatever it is is striking. Around midnight.
