I just let the girls on the front garden again for another half an hour and a hail storm started

Did run like crazy for cover?! My kiddos are hilarious when it starts to rain or hail, they run back to the barn as fast as can they can hahaha!

Did the run fast 😊

That’s wonderful! They do look very comfortable together. I find the dynamics between everyone really interesting; as I have stated before there is no really chain of command with my group. And there isn’t any real bottom of the group hen. Only Penelope is the true “Queen Bee” no one pecks at her and I rarely ever see her chasing or pecking anyone. Actually I have never seen her do that come to think of it. And no one has ever tried to peck her.

I can see that with your girls - Aurora might be your top gal but I see collaboration at times with your ladies.
Lady Featherington has been vicious to Betty. She has been mounting her and pulling feathers out of her every chance she gets. Since Lady Featherington, Glynda, and Aurora are always together in some format Betty can't hang around any of them individually.

Therefore, Betty is seeking companionship from Hattie, Sydney and Phyllis these days as none of them will peck or attack her. She comes up to them when they are off on their own.

It clearly has. Someone is very sweet. The girls are going to love fresh blueberries right from their own garden as well.

I just have not the energy or spare attention time to try and figure out whatever clues there may be. I don't have the time to read every post on here any longer so I am certain I have just plain missed clues.
I love that the garden now belongs to the chickens!
:lau

In terms of clues, I understand, hard to keep up. Just Ask Aurora.

It really should be beneath Lady Featherington to attack anyone.
I am glad Betty isn't left totally solo.

Poor wee gal, Rose and Dorothy are like that to my silkies, poor Curly gets attacked when I haul her off the nest each morning so I stand guard.

I worry she won’t be able to protect chicks properly, so I am hoping that between her and Fluff they will stand guard together as a united front against those two bullies.

I hate interceding with their conflicts, do you break things up? I only ask because this morning Curly and Henny got into a brawl, I grabbed curly and she went wild! Guess I should have grabbed Henny instead 🥺
